"Homer" Lee Holmes built his big bowling center and restaurant on the banks of the Wabash, and this is Peru's party place for all ages and occasions. Lots of appetizers, a soup and salad bar, and hot sandwich platters are offered, along with a dinner menu of steaks, chops, chicken and seafood. Homer's is famous for the river view, plus de-boned smelt, Friday fish fries, hand-breaded tenderloins and wafer sliced deep-fried Pete's Potatoes. Special occasions are cause for celebration, and birthday parties, holidays and sporting events, Sunday brunches are all happily observed. Homer even made an event out of the economic downturn with Homer's Economic Stimulus Meal - Tuesday night spaghetti and one meatball dinner with garlic bread for $2.99!
Open Mon.- Fri. 11 am - 9:30 pm. Sat. - Sun. Noon - 9:30 pm. Sunday Brunch 11 am - 2 pm.
